less maintenance and monitoring

Unlike positive displacement compressors and vacuum pumps Regenerative blowers are ideal for moving large volumes of air at low pressures or vacuums as they pressurize air through a nonpositive displacement method. Regenerative blower are used for sewage aeration, vacuum lifting, vacuum packaging, pneumatic conveying, concrete aeration, pond aeration, vacuum tables, drying, dust/smoke removal and chip removal.

Depending on the physical construction they are also known as side channel blowers or ring compressors. They can be either direct or belt driven.  A regenerative blower operates as a multistage compressor. Each blade-to-blade regeneration stage results in a slight pressure increase. Most blowers are single stage. Two-stage regenerative blowers can provide almost twice the pressure or vacuum of single-stage units.

Major benefits of a regenerative blower are that it requires less maintenance and monitoring. The impeller is the only moving part and is wear free and does not come in contact with the housing channels. Self-lubricated bearings are the only parts that wear and also they are oil less and have no complicated intake/exhaust valving.

Blower failures are mainly caused by improper installation or operation. Regenerative blowers have close internal clearances between the impeller and housing, so it is very important to prevent foreign material from entering that space.

Centrifugal and regenerative blowers are widely used in many industrial processes. Though they look similar, there are distinct differences between them. Centrifugal blowers are used where low pressure air is required for specific purposes. They are used in Laminations, Plastic extruders, Printing, Textile machines, Woodworking etc.. Regenerative blowers are generally used when a large volume of air at high pressure is needed for the specific application. They are also used in situations that involve flammable gas, or have some hazardous or heavy duty aspect to the process. They are used in machinery like Dryers, Packaging, Printing presses, Spas, Vacuum lifters etc..

Industrial pumps are designed specifically for use in harsh or heavy-duty applications. They move a range of material types, including water and wastewater, chemicals, oil, petroleum, sludges and slurries, and food. Chemical compounds such as acids, caustics, solvents, and polymers are commonly used in the production process at many manufacturing facilities and at chemical manufacturing facilities specifically. Pumps are also used in industries like oil and gas, petrochemical, food & beverage, and many other industries, which all include chemicals in their processes.

Pumps fall under two categories: positive displacement and dynamic pumps. Positive displacement pumps control the fluid by moving at the same speed regardless of the fluid’s speed when it enters the inlet valve whereas dynamic pumps add kinetic energy to the fluid by increasing the fluid’s speed and that energy turns into pressure at the slowed outlet point.

Some of the key players operating in the global industrial blowers market are Gardner Denver Inc., Hoffman & Lamson, SPX and others. While in pumps Nash, Gardner Denver, Hoffman & Lamson, Sutorbilt, and Roots among others contribute to the major share in the market.

American Blower LLC provide services for any brand or manufacturer of pumps. Our services range from standard inspections and repairs to complete overhauls. A repair or overhaul of a pump generally consists of an inspection and repair/modification.

We rebuild all types of pumps and blowers to bring its operation back to OEM specifications. The technicians have been factory trained in the process of vacuum pump repair. After the repair or remanufacturing process is complete, each item is system tested to ensure proper operation, OEM specification verification, and extended operation under load and also with stocks of spares to support older or obsolete equipment which OEM no longer supports. We use only OEM parts for repairs to ensure the highest quality of work and extend the life of your equipment. You can repair, rebuild, or exchange your pump with our replace program.

Please contact us for all your requirements on blowers or pumps call us (713) 360 6995 or mail us at info@americanblowerllc.com. We are based in Houston, Texas and our skilled technicians will address all your queries.
